1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using any Melaron Systems product or service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access our platform.
2. Our services
Melaron Systems Ltd provides software products, data systems, digital infrastructure, and technology consulting services. Our products include MelaPos, MelaClinic, MelaSchool, MelaBooks, MelaHR, and an online store builder platform. We also offer custom software development and IT consulting services.
3. Free trials
We offer 7-day free trials for our software products. No payment is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, continued access requires a paid subscription. We will contact you before your trial expires to discuss payment options. We will not charge you automatically without your explicit consent.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. Prices are communicated at the time of subscription. Payment is accepted via mobile money and other methods as made available. Subscriptions renew monthly unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time by contacting us at hello@melaron.co. No refunds are given for partial months already paid.
5. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We use one-time password authentication to secure your account and do not store passwords.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not use our services to store or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or in violation of the rights of others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Online stores
Businesses using our online store builder are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their product listings, prices, and descriptions. Melaron acts as a technology platform and is not a party to transactions between store owners and their customers. Store owners are responsible for fulfilling orders and handling customer disputes.
8. Your data
You retain ownership of all data you input into our systems. We do not claim ownership of your business data, customer records, or any other content you store using our services. You may export your data at any time by contacting us. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
9. Service availability
We aim to maintain 99% uptime for our hosted services. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our control including internet outages, third-party service failures, or scheduled maintenance. We will communicate planned maintenance in advance where possible.
10. Intellectual property
All software, designs, content, and trademarks belonging to Melaron Systems Ltd remain our property. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use our services for their intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of our software without our written permission.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Ugandan law, Melaron Systems Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice on our platform. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda. We encourage resolution of disputes through direct communication before resorting to formal legal processes.
