Melaron Systems Ltd is a technology company registered in Uganda. We build and operate software systems, data infrastructure, and digital products for businesses and organisations across Uganda and the wider region. Our registered address is Kampala, Uganda. You can contact us at hello@melaron.co.
2. What data we collect
We collect personal data that you provide directly to us when you use our services. This includes your name, email address, phone number, and organisation name when you contact us, sign up for a product trial, or use our online store platform. We also collect data about how you use our website, including pages visited and actions taken, through standard web analytics tools.
3. How we use your data
We use your personal data to provide and improve our services, respond to your enquiries, send you relevant communications about your account or trial, notify you of important updates, and where you have agreed, send you information about our products and services. We do not use your data for any purpose unrelated to our services.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract where you have signed up for one of our products, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business. We comply with the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act (Cap. 97) and the Data Protection and Privacy Regulations 2021.
5. How we protect your data
We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, destruction, or alteration. Our systems use encrypted connections, access controls, and audit logs. We review our security practices regularly and update them in line with current standards.
6. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us deliver our services — including Supabase (database hosting), Resend (email delivery), Cloudinary (image hosting), and Vercel (website hosting). Each of these providers is bound by data processing agreements and appropriate security standards.
7. How long we keep your data
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with our legal obligations. If you close your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.
8. Your rights
Under the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to how we use your data, and withdraw consent at any time. 9. Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies to maintain your session and remember your preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the site may not function correctly without them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the changes are significant, notify you by email. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
